----
He was a wild man, a desperate man. He was a man. Thoughts swirled in his head, memories of a time spent inside her mouth. Dazed, disoriented and hot. Like his skin had warmth. Now he would touch her, just to get burned. There were things he'd planned and tossed away, bits of hopes he'd tucked inside himself like embers that were beginning to blaze.
He was..
Annoying the hell out of her.
" So..." His knee touched hers slightly. She shifted uncomfortably. They sat on the lone couch in the large, hungry hotel. His head leaned back against the soft cushion, turned to look at her. Eyes that she was sure were often the weeping victim of nightmares that were waking truths.
" So." Cordy replied, kicking his foot with her own. His eyes glanced down to her bare feet. Nails painted a shiny red that caught him for a second, that made him think of kissing her there. Just to see what she would do. He moved away some.
" What... are you doing?" She rolled her eyes, biting her lip to keep from immeditately screaming. Focused so hard on reading the article that the letters blurred in front of her. Why hadn't she went with Groo? She'd be on a nice beach right now, instead of being picked at by a vampire who suddenly had a flare for getting under her skin. In more than one way.
" The same thing I was doing the last time you asked me." Ofcourse, sitting beautiful like a carved statue just not as cold. Warm skin flushing and and moving like a sea of thoughts he'd had a million times.
" Oh." Yeah. She wished he'd stop staring at her. Wished he'd do a lot of things, but mostly she wished...
" Angel?" He eyes were somewhere along the lines of her chest. Grrrr...
" Yeah." He croaked, wetting lips- brushing his tongue against the back of his teeth. As if he would say something more but it were held back.
" Leave me alone!" Cordy threw her magazine at him, striding away from her nice warm spot on the couch. He gripped the magazine in his hand, looking down at the face on it. Glossy, it gleamed with and reflected no one in the light. A woman with long blonde hair and a skimpy blue outfit laughed at him. Angel growled and tossed the magazine to the floor. All he wanted was a little attention, a stroke maybe, a pat. But the more he tugged it seemed, the more she moved away.
As if she knew... but didn't really.
He stood, his eyes tracking Cordelia as she went over to her desk and picked up another magazine. He'd taken her to dinner tonight, to a little place near the beach, just after sunset. The water had been in the air, brushing against his lips like a kiss. He'd watched it tease her hair, tossing up the dark and gold strands to the moon like an offering. But ofcourse living so long might have made him fanciful. Might have made him capable of living whole lives with a thought in his mind.
She wore one of her loose dresses. It flowed to her knees, flowers printed in bright colors that turned night to day and made her seem like a wild, laughing creature... eating lobster. It was gentle on her breasts, curving to fit them like a cupping hand, and just barely grazing her waist. So free was this dress, the kind that made him wonder just how easy it was to take off. Hands itchy, he shoved them in his pocket and stalked after her. A hulking creature, out of place in the hotel lighting.
Sometimes it blinded him, it might catch him in the face and he'd be frozen like a deer- seeing it glint off the marble floors.
Sometimes he'd follow the light... watch it flicker to the sound of clicking heels.
Cordy didn't look at him, merely crossed her legs and and sat back to read. He'd been crowding her all week. Dragging her off to Charleton Heston movies, to dinner, to the... mall. Not that she didn't enjoy it. To see him smile was as rare as a pearl inside a clam. You had to pry it right out of him. But lately- it was as if something were blossoming inside of him. A recognition of self maybe, she wasn't sure. And as happy as she was to be around him, she didn't like the feeling that he was pushing at her boarders. Almost as if he'd climb right inside and settle for a long stay. Or maybe that was her own heart, feeling something it shouldn't.
But there were certain limits to any friendship she figured. They'd crossed it a bit, on the night she'd stayed over in his bed. But that had been an accident and she'd gotten up, dug herself out of his arms while he slept and left before the sun had risen. They both had sealed there lips about it. She thought speaking of it would make it something more than it was. So what was his excuse?
Yesterday morning, just before dawn- when the twilight was something less thick- she'd had someone whisper in her ear. At first she'd thought it was a feather of a dream, tickling her. Only to wake and see a shadowed, inky figure standing over her. She'd been about to scream when the scent had drifted to her nostrils. Soap and baby powder. Connor.
" Angel?" She'd whispered. " What are you doing here?" Rubbed her eyes, trying to find her center. Confused and scared... what was so important that he would come to her in the middle of the night.
" I'm sorry." He said, his voice gentle and not the least bit apologetic. " Connor won't sleep, he keeps calling for you."
" Angel." Cordy groaned. " Connor doesn't talk." He'd nodded in the dark and she sighed.
" It was the look on his face. Will you help me get him to sleep?" Cordy groaned again. Dumb, mean vampire. Rolled over, ignoring him for a minute to prepare herself and get rid of the bitch she felt swelling up inside. She felt Connor being gently lain into her arms, so soft and so sweet smelling that she felt her chest ache even as sleep tried to tug her under. Rewaking with a jerk when she heard the sound of rustling fabric and a zipper being undone. Glancing back at Angel, she saw him shedding his clothes in the gray light, her heart sped up and she turned away again. Throat squeezing tight over questions.
The bed dipped behind her and she felt a cool draft of air as the blankets were lifted. Angel slid in smoothly, moving across the sheets to where she lay, a still entity with fear and something else on her lips. She turned and put Connor between them, a small sleeping wall that she loved dearly but was almost as terrified of as she was his father. Angel stilled arms that had been reaching around her, eyes looking into her face for a long soundless moment before his hands had dropped and he had layed his head on the pillow opposite hers, sighing and placing a hand over his son's stomach, fingers grazing her own.
Cordy had closed her eyes and despite the turmoil she'd felt, she'd fallen almost immediately asleep. When she'd woken she'd been sprawled on top of him like a blanket, drooling on his naked shoulder. His hands running along the lank of her cotton t- shirt softly, and to the warm skin beneath. Her bare legs had been tangled with his, and oddly enough his skin was extremely hot as if he'd absorbed her heat during the night. She glanced up at him, taking note that his eyes were open but very unreadable as he continued rubbing her back. Gentle strokes as if calming her. She felt her thundering heart pound right through her skin and echo into his. He shifted some- until his hips were beneath hers and she could.... my god she could feel his morning erection pressing up against her cleft. She gasped and he put the barest pressure onto her back- his eye fluttering a little but not leaving her face.
In that moment Connor had let out a wail from right beside them and she'd jerked out of his arms and fallen off the bed in a heap. Peeking over the bed she'd seen Angel gather Connor up into his arms, he should have looked out of place, holding a child in her bed.. but it was natural, to the point that it made her fear for her very sould. But he'd smiled and looked at her with question. Cordy figured she must have gone crazy and imagined it all.
She still wasn't sure if that little interlude was nothing more than a fantasy by a mind trying desperately to remain in denial.
He'd done it again the night before. Without her knowledge. She'd woken up with Connor drooling on her stomach and Angel wrapped around her like a second skin. She hadn't mentioned it, just noted that he'd put up blinds on her bedroom windows while a big part of her flipped out. On the outside she'd remained calm, just slipped from his arms, however difficult and and walked into the kitchen wearing nothing but her t-shirt and panties. Jerking the kitchen window open, she let air inside.
" Oh Dennis." She whispered feeling a breeze touch her cheek. " What the hell is wrong with me? And what the fuck is going on with him?"
Now he stood, a broad shouldered reminder in front of her. His face without smile.
" You're mad at me." Angel said, hands bunching inside his pockets. Maybe he WAS pushing things too far, too quickly. But he wanted what he wanted and he was sick of denying himself. Hell he'd given her a chance right? To leave, to be in the sunlight? Well she hadn't taken it so the way he figured, the rules were gone and she was now fair game. Although if she heard him say as much she'd bitch slap him into next week. So he'd keep those thoughts to himself.
Cordy groaned loudly, throwing her magazine over her shoulder and leaning foreward with her head in her hands. Angel looked at her, a small frown playing on his face. Immediately it dissapeared when she jerked her head back up. " What?" He asked when he saw the astounded look on her face.
" YOU!" She shouted, her arms waving as she stood, shoving him back. As if she needed that bubble space of hers again. Angel's eyes flashed at her. " You- I mean.. what IS this Angel? You've been..." Another wild gesture, vaguely reminicent of a violinest whose tune had been disrupted. " In my space ALL week. Like- like a buzzing friken bee. I'm glad you're doing the kinda happy thing without going bitey, but c'mon- this is a little over board. With all the smiling and..Yippie freaking doo! Now will you tell me what's been going on in that brain of yours? Why you've been crowding me all week- obviously there's something on your mind that you're not gonna tell me- that you WANT to tell me. So TELL ME." Her chest heaved a little in her annoyance, she grasped onto that, holding it to her like a saftey net.
Angel took a deep breath, felt it right down to his stomach. Sure he didn't really need it, but the rasping of it along his long dead lungs gave him a sense of being. Like he was there and maybe for once she wouldn't see through him and straight into her denials. Cordy didn't realize it, but she'd given him the perfect opening, a small space to crawl inside and make her realize that she loved him back. No matter how hard she fought against it. Now he just had to manauver right and slide in.
" Well," He took a hold of her hand, feeling hers sweaty- the pulse beating hard on the inside of her wrist. He pulled her to the couch again, the seats had not cooled from the last time they'd been there. She followed behind him with lagging steps, rolling her eyes. When they were seated, he cleared his throat. " I- Well I need your help.. on something." Ah yes.. the stuttering begins. He shook his head at the absurdity of it. He was once the scourge of europe and this small woman could cut him devestatingly to his knees.
He wondered sometimes if she were stronger than him in ways he couldn't yet understand. The ways women had about them, and inner garden where things grew thick and weaved themselves into foundations that were never truly broken- only bent. A pillar standing tall even when the paint cracks and crumbles away.
Cordy immediately went from angry to concerned at the tender, hesitant tone of his voice. She reached over and touched his hand with her own. Angel looked down at it for a moment, before gripping her hand tightly and looking deeply into her eyes. The hazel turning to a murky green as if expecting sorrow.
In a very serious voice he said, " I need you to teach me how to flirt."
She stared at him for five, very long seconds. They dragged out an eternity where he shifted like his skin was too tight. And then she burst out laughing, a loud-bright sound that filled the room and she hugged him. He enveloped her in his arms immediately, wondering at the spontaneous affection, but not complaining.
" Ah Angel," She murmured, pulling back enough to see his face. She was grinning. He smiled back in bewilderment. " I love you." His smile hurt his face and he ducked his head down. The sweetness tugged at all the right places inside of him.
" I love you too." It didn't sound as light hearted when he said it, it sounded very deep and very hungry. But she didn't seem to notice, just grinned a bit and leaned back against the couch. Let him escape her hold whether he wanted to leave or not.
" So- where do you want to start?" He eyed her smooth, tanned legs where they rested near his own.
" Right there." He muttered before he could think.
" What?" She asked, looking around herself.
" I said, not here. We should-" He grabbed her by the shoulders and all but lifted her off her feet. " Go. To My room."
" Wait- why?" He didn't stop, all but dragging her up the stairs. This wasn't exactly what she had expected. And not something she was really sure she could handle. It was bad enough that she spent days in his presence, but when she was in his bedroom she began to forget that she wasn't meant to be there. And that she was only filling a space left empty by one blonde too many.
" I am not learning how to flirt in front of Lorne and the baby." He shook his head as if she were the silly one." Lorne is on my back enough as it is." Cordy just shrugged, following in his wake. Hoping her own sense of right or wrong was being put to the test. Then wondered why she would even think that. This was Angel after all. He wouldn't lay a hand on her.. then again he'd already done that and more.
When Angel reached the bedroom, he pulled her inside. The room was lit by a single lamp, a dim light at that- leaving the corners shaded and titilating. She looked beyond and into the nursery, staring at the mobile on Connors crib. It moved slightly, the sparkles on the painted plastic freezing her for a second. For a second she wished she'd grabbed the boy from Lorne and brought him up here with them. Then felt horribly guilty for thinking such thoughts and even considering her crazy feeling that Angel was some how luring her into a trap. One where she wouldn't want to escape.
He shut the door and leaned against it for a second, watching intently as she walked in, stood facing Conners room for a minute then turned to face him. Angel blinked, hoping he'd erased what he was sure was the glint of desire in his eyes. He just had to play this low key. He'd get his confession, and hopefully a little bit more. As long as he did this right. As long as he made her understand... that love was there to be had if only she would reach for it.
" Okay- so how are we gonna do this?" He asked, his voice husky. Trying not to glance at his turned down bed. A bed where he had thought of too many fantasies that involved this woman. So many it almost made him feel guilty, but he couldn't feel guilty for such loving, good thoughts. Just couldn't. He'd even fought with himself the night before- he'd thought going to Cordy's in the middle of the night had been a good idea. But he knew he had been pushing things with it, when she'd placed Connor's small body between them. Ofcourse somehow she'd crawled ontop of him in his sleep and he'd woken pleasently suprised, and quite willing for a morning romp in bed. That hadn't turned out exactly like he'd hoped, and she hadn't mentioned it since. Maybe it hurt his ego a little to have her so willing to push it aside, but he couldn't allow it to hurt.
" C'mon Angel, you're looking at the queen of mean at flirt here. Just loosen up and let me show you. Although why you want to flirt in the first place when you're impotent-"
" I'm not impotent!" He burst out. " You KNOW I'm not." Cringing from his own wording, he looked away as she blushed. Quite clearly she remembered what he was talking about.
" Okay- " She said too loudly, brushing over the slip. " You need to get away from the door first of all." He did as told, taking long strides until once more he stood before her, looking down into her cat like face. Angel wondered what it would take to make her purr.
" Done." He announced as if completing a task. She just looked at him for a second before shaking her body. His eyes bulged.
" Cordy WHAT.. OH GOD! A vision.. but-"
" Angel- calm down I was just loosening myeself up. First rule to flirting, you're not gonna get anywhere with anyone if you like like a raisin."
" Huh?" She smiled at him crookedly, tapping a finger to his forhead.
" A raisin. All tight and wrinkly." His fingers flew to his face.
" I don't have wrinkles! I still look like a twenty-seven year old." Cordy laughed, and grabbed onto his arms.
" Just shake Angel. Shake." He did so, feel slightly foolish as his arms wiggled and his hips did almost a little dance. Cordy did her best not to grin, pressing her lips together and biting the inside of her cheek, but that smirk was not easily suppressed and eventually escaped in a snort. Angel glanced at her, his eyes narrowing and he stopped the little jig he had been doing.
" Sorry." She told him, not meaning it and took a hold of his shoulders. And moved until she stood behind him. " The second rule to flirting is how you approach your target."
" Target.. you make them sound like a victim."
" Well they are. Of my charms of course." He noddend seriously, looking at her over his shoulder. " Now- square your shoulders and quit doing this hunch back thing you've got going on. " Angel growled but he did as told. Oh, the levels he was stooping to... " Now- walk like you'd walk at something you really want and you know you're gonna get it." Angel thought for a second, feeling like a complete idiot he began making his way across the room. His mind was blank thought, save for the embarrasement of doing this at all. Why had he thought this was a good idea? Ah yes, to drag the past up with her.
He heard her sigh dramatically and turned back, frowning, " What now?" She shook her head.
" I don't understand. " She explained. " I mean, they had to have flirting in your time. " She noticed the narrowed eyes and flaring nostrils. " I mean, it wasn't all that long ago. Right? And you were Angelus for so long and he was all big on the blondes and brunettes and the occasional red head- so why don't you call up on that side of yourself?"
Angel was quiet for a minute, contemplating her with leveling eyes. " Mostly because once I let that side of me out Cordy- it's hard to shove it all back inside again." She shivered a bit, concealed it with a shrug.
" So you're demon comes out?"
" No my sexuality does." Cordy froze almost comically at those words as if it were something she never expected to hear in her life time.
" Ah." She croaked. " So- lets not call on that shall we? We'll just... okay. " She walked to him, hands on hips. Eyes watchful like a teacher. " I think I know where your biggest problem is with the walk. It's in your hips." She glanced down as he did, feeling a bit odd that they were staring at such a private place on his body. He looked back up at her confused.
" What's wrong with my hips?"
" Nothings wrong with them, but you walk as if you're being dragged down by gravity or something."
" Well gravity does seem to be a problem for me." He remarked sarcastically. She shook her head, cocking an eye brow at him.
" No need to get bitchy. This was your idea." And secretly she had to admit to having fun. " Now back to your hips," She got behind him once again, this time placing her hands near his buttoks. Every muscle in his body went tense. RED ALERT. " Eesh. What did I tell you about loosening up? I'm just gonna walk you through this." Angel took a purely calming breath and Cordy manipulated and stimulated his hips, moving them how she wanted them to move. " You gotta walk like gravity can't control you. A man doesn't have to swing his hips, but he should have some.. zing. Like he knows he's got something everybody else wants."
" And what's that?" Angel asked softly, his eyes closing as her gently hands moved softly over him.
" A really great ass." His whole body jerked and he gasped spinning around to face her. She was grinning. " Calm down Flex, it's not something to be ashamed of." Oh he wasn't ashamed, actually he felt his ego reinflating. Ah, it was good to be back. " So now we got the walk right?"
" Yeah." He said, flashing a pair of dimples she rarely saw. They were like little moons in the dim lighting.
" So now we move on to-"
" Role playing?" She stopped talking and frowned at him. There was something in the room. A whisper of what was to come. She grasped on to the tail ends of it.. but couldn't quite hear it.
" What?" Okay so it had sounded slightly dirty coming out of his mouth, but it couldn't be helped.
" Role playing." Angel repeated, pressing his hands into his pockets again. Already doing the hunchback thing. He was back to feeling slightly nervous. This was where he'd hope to make things progress. He hadn't expected to get slightly naseaous though, he was taking a chance here. And was afraid he might just be gambling with something prescious. " I need to know what to say right? So- you need to pretend to be my.. target." He reached up, touched her chin with his thumb.
Cordy flinched slightly, stepping away before she could stop herself. The action didn't escape Angel at all. And it finally shoved him over some invisible edge.
" Why do you always do that?" He asked stiffly. She looked at him in bewilderment, eyes shining too brightly with secrets that he was afraid he would never hear. " That- stepping away- backing up thing. Like I've done something wrong by invading your space. I mean- I remember back in the day when you practically crawled allllll over me."
Cordy's mouth simply dropped open. Her eyes went wide and shocked, and expression that needed to be caught on camera. Begged to be forever frozen in time. Well it would be forever etched in his mind atleast. It was priceless.
" W- what?" She sputtered. Windmilling her arms as if trying to regain a sense of balance that had been lost. Angel should have felt sorry for catching her so off guard, but he didn't. In fact he liked very much pulling the rug out from beneath her feet. As long as he was there to catch her before she fell. " Huh? I- I- what?"
Angel chuckled, stepping closer to her. " Oh C'mon! Don't tell me you don't remember. You were on me like butter on bread." She slapped a hand on his chest, eyes going lethal. Angel stopped laughing, staring hard at the hand that held him at bay, suddenly he shoved it away. Hard enough to have her stumbling back.
" I was no such thing!" She shouted, completely mortified to be reminded. How did he even remember? She'd forgotten years ago. " I- I was in love with Xander!" She took a deep breath. " You're sorely mistaken broody, but think what you like."
He studied her consideringly, rubbing a hand along his chest. Yes women were mysterious creatures. The knew so much about everything and they hated being wrong about anything. Angel reached out again, placed his hands on her shoulders and bent at the knees. Looking her directly in the eye.
" I was there Cordelia. You had the hots for me big time." She blushed a furious shade of read, moaning and covering her face with shame. Angel sighed and pulled her into a friendly, non threatening hug.
" How did you know?" She mumbled against his chest. He felt the warm air of her mouth seep through the cotten of his shirt and into his skin. A shiver worked it's way up his spine.
" Ah, it could have something to do- with the walk thing you just showed me." He smiled into her hair, resting his face there. In heaven a little. Angel felt her laugh slightly. And then harder. Soon she was laughing so hard she couldn't contain it inside her body, it shook her and Angel had to release her for fear she might break in his arms. She fell on her back onto the bed. Holding her side, laughing so loudly it hurt his ears but made his heart feel good. Tears trailed down her cheek as she rolled around, trying to contain herself.
Angel sat down next to her, watching as she gathered herself together a good five minutes later. Sighing happily she smiled up at him, taking deep gulps of air.
" What's so funny?" He finally asked. Sure she'd come on a little strong back then, but hey- he didn't mind looking back on it at all. Really it wasn't a source of amusement for him, mostly it was a well for his fantasies and certain looks he ached to see on her face. She grinned wider up at him, putting the sun to shame. And she looked so right there, on top of his satin sheets that it made him hurt somewhere deep inside. The kind of hurt that made you want to leap over fire to make sure it never went away.
" Well..." She sighed, running a hand along her face to dry her tears. " I was just thinking back to all those years ago. And when I really think about it I just can't believe we ended up here like this. I mean- we're so different. You know? I'd never considered back then that- I would end up here."
" Do you regret it?" He asked her, a cockfisted hand inside his gut. There was only one answer that would truly satisfy him. All others would leave him grasping for straws and in severe sorrow. Possibly a deeper one then he had ever known. Her smile faded a bit, and for a second Angel was glad he didn't have a beating heart, because he was sure that tilting smile would kill him. But her words suprised him greatly.
" Not a single day. " She said softly, and managing to break his heart without the slightest try. But it was the good way, the way he needed. The way that mended the torn bits inside. They stared at each other for a long time. Too long and Angel shifted down to lay next to her, on his side, face to face. Too close for comfort but she couldn't make herself get up and walk away this time. She wanted him in that moment. She wanted him so bad, the desire lived in the way she held her lips parted and free. The air had grown thick, as a tree with leaves. Sudden blossoms of tension- prickling throughout her skin with goose bumps. And there was no Connor here to act like a buffer.
So she had to face it. It may terrify her, but... he had that look in his eyes. The one he got when he was about to do something that would change everyones life forever. She should be running but she felt like she had been put under some mystical spell. A trance that made her breasts swell and stomach throb. He leaned foreward, slowly, haltingly, his eyes open and on hers the whole time. With great care he layed his cool lips on hers. She moaned slightly, unable to believe this was happening. But it became apparent that it was when she felt him answer her moan with his own. And press his lips more firmly onto hers. His eyes sliding shut. Angel's hand slid up her arm, over the goosebumps and through her hair, until it reached the hot place on the back of her neck.
He added pressure, bringing her ever closer to him as his lips began to move. Cordy's heart was beating fast, how could such an innocent kiss bring so much pleasure? She'd never ever been kissed with such care. It made her want to weep. But god.. this was Angel.. her best friend. She would have pulled back then, but his mouth opened over hers and his tongue darted out to taste the plump mound over her lower lips. Cordy squeaked opening her mouth and gripping his shoulders hard as he plunged his tongue inside her mouth.
This wasn't spirts. She was not a dancer. And he was not Stephan. This was them. God...
She tasted so good. He couldn't name what it was, but the flavor brought a fire to his blood that caught him off guard with it's intensity. And soon his hands were tangeled in her hair and he was battling with her mouth. He thought he might be losing though, because her tongue was fighting with his for all it was worth. The heat grew between them, bathed in her warm breath. Slipping between them, and around them. A web of passion that spoke of too many nights fantasizing about the other with only their own hands to do the loving.
Her fingers dug into his back, her taut breasts pressing against his chest as his arms circled around her- rolling her to her back. He slid half on top of her, never breaking the kiss, only deepening it, opening her mouth wide and inhaling her essense into his heart. She was driving him crazy, her little pants painted fireworks across his skin until he too had bright colors engraved into his soul. She was letting him in. Oh god, she was finally letting him in.
His thigh slid over hers, his knee moving up to press against the juncture of her thighs. She gasped in shock, jolting against him and breaking off the kiss. Breathing hard as if she'd just ran too many miles, much too fast. She stared up at him in confusion, quite unable to grasp what the hell had happened. There was a huge feeling of joy and fear inside of her. But god she wanted this. He smiled down at her, and kissed her nose. Her eyelids. Her chin. Pressing his knee against her again, until she rocked against his hard thigh musle. Her face going dreamy as sparks lit behind her eyes.
Angel watched, his jaw tight. Teeth grinding in order to keep control. She was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. She looked like a tropical diva in his bedroom. Golden and rich with flavor. He wanted to taste her, he wanted to swallow her whole. He brushed his lips along her cheek, her neck until he reacher here ear- in it he whispered, " What stage of flirting is this?"
" Oh." She gasped out, quirking her lips up imperceptiably before moaning again when his hand slid over her plump breast. " I'd say- it's the sixth stage. The one that's-"She couldn't take it. It was a torment, a punishment. It was Angel. " where you- achieve physical contact."
" Ah." Angel whispered, nibbling on her ear lobe while she arched in his arms. His hand slid beneath her dress and up the inside of her thigh.
" Angel!"
"Shhh..." He pleaded, dropping kisses over her chest, moving the fabric away with his mouth. His tongue dipping beneath. " You're just teaching me how to flirt, that's all.. shhhh.." Cordy quieted, wanting this to never end. Not willing to give up this one moment in time. His face moved away from her breasts, looked down at her eyes hardened by sexual desire and utter need. Something else that she craved from him but had yet to admit.
" God.." She whipsered as his hand found her, wet and dripping. Angel groaned, his face shifting. Eyes going gold.
" You're so wet.." Cordy closed her eyes, biting her lip as a finger slid through her softness. Angel couldn't put his human face back on, he was too far gone. Too lost in the feel of her in his hands. Fuck, he wanted to swim in her.
His fingers moved brushed across the downy hair- touched her clit lightly. Cordy almost shot off of the bed, whimpering.
" Oh God-" He held her body down with his own. Eyes hot and intent on his prey as his fingers searched and probed her. Angel found her entrance- felt his fingers burn near the heat. A growl started low in his chest and worked it's way out as he slowly pushed a finger inside. It was so.. tight.... He didn't reallys he was panting, or that he was all but humping her leg. Out of control, but she was no better. Gently he slid his finger back out, setting his jaw, savoring the feel. This moment. It was a moment filled with promise of long desired satiation, but more than that, it was-- just more. Like having his heart filled up too much and his blood actually moving, and too fast at that.
Angel was so hard he thought he might break the zipper on his pants any moment.
He swirled his thumb over her clit, taking her bottom lip between his teeth. She keened, high in her throat. Cordy was so close her eyes had begun to blur. They were glazed over like she had a fever. Her skin was hot, flushed a deep red. So ready to just.. burst. And this was Angel doing this to her. The thought brought her that much closer to the edge, the feeling of him working a second finger inside of her, his thumb working magic, his lips and tongue everywhere on her body. His other hand jerking down the fabric of her dress, sucking on her nipple hard and with so much attention... and... she opened her eyes.
Looked down at his face, saw his lips on her breast and his eyes hot and black on her face while he finger fucked her. It proved to be too much and she cried out, exploding inside. Imploding. Crashing in on herself as her body went tight and clenched around his fingers. His mouth was on hers in a flash, capturing the cry, practically eating it. Dragging out her orgasm with his fingers until she couldn't bear it anymore and stilled his hand with her own.
He moved his face away for a second, staring down into her dazed, but shocked eyes. And then pressed a gentle kiss on her mouth. She kissed him back, with the slightest bit of pressure. Slowly he slid his fingers out from inside of her, careful of her sensitized flesh. Angel brought the hand up between them, and they both stared at the glistening juices for a second and Cordys heart coiled tight within her chest at the realization of what had happened. Before she could stop him, he'd sucked his fingers into his mouth, his eyes slamming shut as the taste hit him full force. A shuddering groan, vibrating from his body to hers. She felt him twitch against her hip- and her own walls clench with an after shock of an orgasm.
Cordy couldn't help but whimper again, watching his face in such ecstasy over a simple taste of her. It made her burn again, made her want things she knew they couldn't have. Finally he released his fingers and looked at her with eyes as dark as midnight.
" So how's that for flirting?" He asked, his voice turned to gravel. She smiled a little bit, but when he sat up and began to unbuckle his belt she freaked. She leaned up with him, grabbing on to his hands. He stilled instantly, a different sort of tension gathering throughout his muscles. His eyes became unreadable again." You're going to stop me? Don't tell me you didn't want that. You were- you- wanted me."
" Oooh Angel." She whispered, stroking his cheek with her hand. " Ofcourse I want you. I'm only human.. well mostly. But there are other considerations here. I know you don't love me, but you never know what could happen-"
" Stop." He said, shaking from head to toe with something beyond repression. The breaking of a damn. " Just stop. You think I would take something like this lightly?" Cordy pursed her lips, saying nothing. " You think I would suddenly hop ontop of my bestfriend just for what? A little bit of action? You think so little of me?" Cordy moved away from him. Closing her legs to bring her knees to her chest. Trying to protect herself. " Well?"
" No." She pressed her chin to her kneecap. " I just- think that we have a certain relationship- and it works for us." Her heart stuttered a little. She knew what she was feeling. " Besides two reasons why this can never happen again. Angelus and Buffy." She hated to say the name, to slap him in the face with it, but she had too. It was the only way to get away and working on erasing whatever had blossomed inside her for him. She opened her eyes, expecting to see him covered in a curtain of guilt.
But all she saw was red hot anger.
" I don't believe you." He said through his teethe, clenching a hand over her own. " I don't- Ugh. I just can't believe you." She tried to pull her hand away, but he wouldn't let her escape. " You're a real piece of work Chase you know that? You come into my life again three years ago and you knock me flat on my ass without even noticing. Pay attention woman. I'm not playing a game here, unless it's for keeps. I didn't just have my fingers inside you because your the next best thing. I had them there because you're the only one I want. So get that through your head and stop using everything as a buffer toward me. You can't block me out now. I gave you a chance to run off in the sunlight with Groo and you turned it down. You made your choice. You're mine now." With that he leaned foreward to kiss her, but she leaned back.
" Wow. Not property here." Angel growled, bringing her hands to his lips, kissing them. " What are you saying Angel?" Suddenly gentle he opened her fingers and nuzzled his face into the palm of her hand. His eyes were very soft and honest when he spoke. So much more tempting than heat was this warmth.
" I'm saying I'm in love with you and that it's not changing so you might as well get used to it." Cordy blew out a breath, it whooshed from deep down inside. She struggeled with his words for a moment, terrified but wanting to believe.
" You're in love with me?"
Angel grinned and planted a smacker of a kiss on her lips.
" Completely."
" Okay- yes it will take some getting used too." She laughed a little hysterically, like a school girl with a new secret. Not sure what to do. Insanely happy and frightened. Just plain insane.
" Well hurry." Saw the look on her face. " Okay calm down.. we'll take it one step at a time. But maybe you could love me a little bit too?" It was his turn to be vulnerable, to shake in her hands. She drew him close, pressed her nose to his in a tender moment where their eyes spoke words that were not written.
" Always." She whispered and he shouted.
" I KNEW it!" She laughed and let him push her back down on the bed. Suddenly willing to go where he wanted to take her. Even if it meant giving up her heart. The look of joy on his face was worth a million hearts. Angel got up, dug into his dresser drawer while she tucked her arms beneath her head, watching him. " Aha!" He said at last. He pulled out a little yellow bottle and waved it at her. She smiled but tossed up her hands. " It's protection.. so I don't go grrr as you like to put it."
Cordy gasped, an overwhelming feeling of desire flooding her.
" Angel- I don't care how, why, when or who you got that from. I might later. But right now you better get your ass over here." He grinned at her, gulping down the contents of the bottle quickly and stripping naked so fast it was almost a blur. Within seconds he was crawling onto the bed and tugging at her clothes. Cordy laughed, wrapping her arms around him. " Oh and Angel- about the flirting."
" Yeah?" he mumbled, decided to just rip the dress.
" Don't ever flirt with another woman. I just might have to kill you for it." He stopped for a second, shaking his head as if to clear the cob webs.
" Huh?"
" The way you flirt. You'd be sleezing around all the time." She slapped his naked ass. " So just me kay?" Angel grinned widely. Those dimples flashing again. A feeling of absolute happiness overwhelming him. Good thing he'd taken the potion.
He was a wild man. He was a man. He felt it straight to the heart this time. She made him feel like the world had been set afire and he was okay with watching it burn.
